2010 Nolita Nebbiolo

“We are old mates and one day, after a couple (well, 4) bottles of inspiring Barolo, we decided to hunt down some good Nebbiolo and make some wine”

Nolita is a joint venture with Journalist Nick Stock with Nebbiolo sourced from the Longview vineyard, near Macclesfield, in the Adelaide Hills. Established by Duncan MacGillivray in the early 90’s, Longview is owned by the Saturno family.

More Information

Nolita is a parcel of Nebbiolo that we sectioned off when we blended the 2010 Solita that was matured in a single barrique. 2010 was an extraordinarily powerful vintage with immense complexity and we have held Solita in our cellar as it presented a never-before-seen opportunity to deliver a very long-ageing wine. This parcel has also been our first trial bottling under screw cap and has developed differently in bottle to Solita. The name is taken from a borough of New York City and the inspiration for the label is the classic NYC subway station graphic.
