2013 Barossa Ranges Single Barrel Shiraz Magnum

In June 2017, while tasting through the barrels prior to bottling the 2013’s, I found one barrel in particular to be absolutely outstanding and unique. This barrel came from the extreme Southeastern corner of the vineyard; a sector that faces North-Northeast and has the shallowest soil of any parcel in my vineyard resulting in, more often than not, the lowest per-vine yield. I decided to bottle this barrel separately, entirely into magnum only. I have labelled this bottling “Single Barrel”.
